Morphing Experiments (MMEs)
What is a Mysterious Morphing Experiment? Well, it's an odd experiment that morphs. Not good enough for you? Well, it's a type of NC Mall item first launched on July 20, 2009. Over time, the item basically changes into different items. This change is called "morphing", and the different 'items' it can be are called "stages", according to TNT. Some Experiments will have multiple possibilities for one or more stage. MMEs have a symbol like a question mark on the bottom right corner of their images until they are finished morphing, at which time they become normal items.
Once an MME has finished morphing, all the previous stages are released back into the user's inventory (the final stage stays wherever you've kept your MME). When these items appear there is also a chance that you will be awarded a limited "Bonus" item. Not all MMEs brought will have the bonus - think of it a little like a capsule, some capsules contain the limited edition item and some don't.
MMEs are always on sale at the NC Mall for a limited time. They do not start morphing until after they have retired - generally the first morph is on the night of retirement from the Mall.
