3 Types of Items

We have split up wearable items into 3 main categories: Neopoint, Neocash, and Paint Brush. If you are wondering what each of these different types are, then keep reading!

If you are looking at an item and are wondering what it's item type is, simply look into the heading of the item box. The first icon on the left is it that particular item's type. You can see each icon used on the pages below!

Neopoint Items

Neopoint items are the most popular type of items that anyone can buy, trade, sell, and put on their pet (with a few exceptions)! All of these items cost Neopoints (neopets online currency) and cannot be purchased any other way.

Paint Brush Items

Currently there are more PB items in existence than either of the other two categories. These items cannot be purchased, traded, or sold. Once you get the, they are yours forever (unless you transfer a pet)! You can obtain PB items by changing your pets color, in any way (Painting, Lab...etc.). Only certain colors have PB clothing so be sure to check out ourcolor database for more information on that!

Neocash Items

Neocash items can only be purchased through theNC Mall. The NC Mall costs real-life money. The only advantage is that you can preview the item on your pet AND all NC items can be worn by all species (with a few exceptions). NC Mall items cannot be sold or traded, they are bound to the account they were purchased from.
